- Josef Woodard

Five Songs of William Blake. Santa Barbara News Press, 6/3/09
"Eglin cues off the delicate mixture of mysticism and earthiness in Blake's writing. Handsome features rise from the overall structure of his songs."
- Josef Woodard

Three Carols. Santa Barbara News Press, 12/22/08
"[Eglin] gave new and expanded choral life to obscure carols from Lancashire, England ("On Christmas Day") as well as from Kentucky ("The Cherry Tree of Cumberland") and Appalachia ("In Judah's Land").  The American tunes had a lovely, lilting, and unusual air, while also waxing vaguely gothic - American gothic that is."
- Josef Woodard

Barter.  The Orange County Register, 3/30/08
"Michael Eglin's "Barter," with text from Sara Teasdale, flowed along elegantly. His work
sounded organic and fluid, the emotional content matched well with the melancholic text."
- Peter Lefevre
